SikhLens: Sikh Arts & Film Festival, the premiere annual Californian film festival marks its advent to India in February 2020. The festival is all set to take place on 21st of February at the Tagore Theatre, in Chandigarh. ENTRY IS FREE FOR PUBLIC!
Ojaswwee Sharma (Film Director) and Bicky Singh (Founder - SIkhlens, California) under the aegis of Pinaka Mediaworks in association with Chandigarh Administration, Department of Culture Affairs, Chandigarh Administration, and Rolling Frames Entertainment bring the best of Sikh Films and the premiere Sikh Film Festival from California, US for the first time in India to The City Beautiful, Chandigarh on Friday, 21st February 2020. The full-day film festival promises a day full of GREAT entertainment including the best of SikhLens (California) curated Short films & Documentaries and the presence of the Creative Sikhs including Filmmakers, Artists and Authors and Prominent Sikh personalities of the region for promotion of Sikh Arts, Culture and Heritage in the capital of Punjab & Haryana.
Sikhlens through it's ‘Destination S’ program provides funding and filming scholarship programs for filmmakers both Sikh and non-Sikh, whose projects aim to bring inspiring stories about Sikh history and heritage into the world’s mainstream conversation on race, ethnic harmony, justice, and spirituality.
Sikhlens, The World’s Premier Sikh Film Festival, seeks to provide an outlet for sharing Sikh heritage and culture with the rest of the world by creating awareness for work that is “Sikh-centric,” showcasing our talent, and instilling pride in our community.
Sikhlens seeks work from artists in a variety of fields, including but not limited to movies, books, music, and art. It creates appropriate avenues for this work to be shared with the rest of the world with the aim of getting more exposure for the presenters; and at the same time creating awareness about Sikhs.
